"ALCOHOLISM"; The way to end of a happy life.

ALCOHOLISM is an addiction that can ruin health and marital life. The only way is to be determined to stay away from alcohol for good. That should be every one’s motto. Consuming alcohol is a bad habit and affects both men and women from all walks of life irrespective of caste, creed, occupation and education. Sometimes, it reaches its peak without the people being aware of it. There are cases when alcoholics want to abstain, but yet take to excessive drinking. So, that we have to educate people through opening more and more counseling center in every district. And government must take care, when license were issue to certain area’s to take limit of license holder’s.

Now the question is, how we procure this situation? So answer is, not only by medication, chastisement or rehabilitation. We have to adopt the powerful way of communication and sharing experiences. These are called fellowship meetings. Through this fellowship, we focus on the HOW of attaining sobriety. The word ‘HOW’ is the abbreviation of Honesty, Open mindedness and Willingness. So, that you just need the desire to be honest to yourself, adopt an open mind and willingness to desist from a drink. In this fellowship meeting we can share our own addictive experiences, our ways of changing attitude and the need to overcome alcoholism. These continuous one-to-one or group meetings will slowly take their effect, depending upon the level of addiction. That’s why I am saying to have counseling center in every district.

Narrates confidently Mukash B, a software professional who attends such meetings through a counseling center, which they especially organize for such affected people. He said, for many years, alcohol was my obsession. Until one day, there came a phase where I was undergoing depression for taking at least two to three drinks a day. One of my friends suggested this fellowship, where we shared our experiences and the need to abstain from it. Slowly and steadily, it took me nearly 10 months to stay away from a drink. Today, I am leading a self-contented lifestyle. By listening to such experiences from many members, alcoholism will fade away.
